I am the founder of Leading Edge Insights, an executive coaching and leadership consulting firm. My interest in leadership development stems from my 25-year career at Time Inc., where I held a variety of executive positions, the last as co-Chief Operating Officer. As co-COO, I managed 1000+ employees and a $1.5 billion portfolio. I was responsible for setting and executing strategic initiatives for the company’s largest consumer brands including People, People en Espanol, In Style, Real Simple, Essence and Entertainment Weekly. I also oversaw Southern Progress Corporation, IPC Media– the largest publisher in the UK– American Express Publishing, and the Corporate Sales division, giving me primary responsibility for the company’s significant advertising revenue stream.
Prior to that, I was an EVP, responsible for the entertainment and lifestyle brands , including People, where I had spent the majority of my career in a variety of sales and marketing management roles.
I am a long-standing Board member of Saks Incorporated which has given me a deep knowledge of the retail industry, especially the luxury sector. I was a founding Board member of The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and also a founding member of Social Venture Partners/Santa Barbara.
I am certified as an executive coach through iCoach New York, part of the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and am a member of the International Coaching Federation.
