I founded Leading Edge Insights based on my belief that leadership can and should be taught. After a 25 year career running a stable of complex and diverse businesses within Time Inc., I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that leadership talent can have on an organization. Managing teams of people with wide ranging talents and experiences also taught me that for some, leadership comes naturally, but for most, it is something developed and cultivated over time.
A hallmark of my tenure at Time Inc. was the immense satisfaction I got from mentoring and fostering the development of rising talent, many of whom are thriving in executive positions today. My ability to relate to a variety of people and develop meaningful relationships with them, led me to executive coaching. In this capacity, I have the opportunity to use my skills in a very meaningful way.
My coaching practice capitalizes on my vast operating experience and focuses primarily on executives whose success is clearly linked to the performance of the teams they lead…particularly those managing large sales, marketing or creative divisions. For these result-oriented leaders, developing and empowering their teams is the key to optimizing the collective strength of their organizations.
My approach is direct, focused, and pragmatic. I also draw on my business experience as a guide for customizing each coaching engagement for maximum impact.
